About Me - Voluntary Work and Community Involvement

I thrive doing voluntary work, I love to give to the community.

2018 – Heroes of Today

  • Board of Directors (Finance Officer)

My passion is about helping youth, homeless etc so I asked my friend if I could be on the Board.  Heroes of Today is determined to create environments that can realign troubled youth of the ages of 12 to 21. The establishment of a controlled farming community environment whilst utilising health professionals, educators and life coaches to rehabilitate wayward youth and give them positive direction.  Heroes of Today will create a healthy environment to support the lives of troubled youth across Australia.

Our Vision is to transform lives of troubled youth, community reintegration and providing purpose.

 2005 - Royal Children’s Hospital

  • Volunteered in the General Ward

2005 - 2015 - Vision Australia

  • Gift Wrapping for Christmas, Father’s Day and Mother’s Day

2004 - 2016 - Victoria University

  • Annually managed and ran the Victoria University Footy Tipping Competition

  • Developed and maintained the footy tipping website http://graceschirripa.wix.com/vufooty

  • Collected Membership fees, distributed winnings, published weekly results on the website and Facebook page.

  • 2,053 participants and distribution of prize money totalling $39,620.00 since 2004

2003 - Present                

Cancer Research – Pink Ribbon, Star Light Children’s Foundation, Make A Wish Foundation, beyondblue, Parkinson’s Victoria

  • Annually coordinate, plan and prioritise fundraising events raising donations for charity.
